Embedded objects in Office documents
Embedded objects in Office documents are things from one Office application that is placed inside a document from a different application. An example of this is an Excel spreadsheet embedded in a PowerPoint presentation. This would be displayed as a table in the presentation, but it would be a spreadsheet and have all its capabilities (formulas, etc.)
Déjà Vu has the ability to extract text from embedded objects in Office 2007 and 2010 documents. Documents in any of the Office 2003 formats cannot have their embedded objects processed automatically by Déjà Vu.
You can find more information about how to use this here.
